Dr. Manrriquez has an Orofacial Pain and restorative practice in Fountain Valley, California. He provides diagnostic and non-surgical treatment services for the Orofacial Pain needs of patients of referring doctors. He is the former Research Co-Director of the Clinical Research Foundation, based at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. The Clinical Research Foundation provided continuing education to dentists in the anatomic, imaging, surgical and restorative disciplines.
Dr. Sal Manrriquez received both his Bachelor of Science as well as his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry in 1985. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, as well as a Fellow of the American Headache Society. He has presented to both national and international audiences on biomechanical and osseointegration issues of dental implants, Orofacial Pain disorders as well as morphologic/imaging issues in clinical decision-making.
Dr. Manrriquez has published research on Orofacial Pain/Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD), Headache, Restorative Dentistry, and Health Disparities in Vulnerable Populations.
Dr. Manrriquez is a member of the International and American Associations for Dental Research, the American Headache Society, the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, the Academy of Osseointegration, as well as a number of other professional dental organizations.
